A nice day

Just spent a lovely day in town. It is Mr. Fesks birthday at the weekend so he is having a few days off, and this morning we went shopping, and I finished the pressie buying while he had his hair done. We then went to Betties for afternoon tea, where I am pleased to report, there was a 3 tiered platter, the sandwiches did have the edges cut off, the cake was moist and as advertised and the scones came with clotted cream!!! The finger to Fortnum and Mason's if you please!!! Also the staff were friendly and polite, as I would expect. Think I may start making it my business to give ratings to cream teas, like the old biddy i now am, this was definitely 9 / 10 (the cake just needed to be Victoria sponge).
Off into town tonight to commence birthday celebrations, mmm, more sangria I think, i have a thing about it at the mo, and definitely a visit to the Evil Eye.
Booked tickets to see the Beautiful South in Dec at the weekend, I have always wanted to see them, (even though we saw enough of what his name in the pub, whilst at Uni, scruffy beggar was always propping up the bar in the Mainbrace) so that should be good, its in Sheffield, so think there will be some xmas shopping in Meadowhall before hand.
Anyway, must wrap up the pressies.
Thought for the day: Wish I was more generous, have just bought a friend a lovely John Rosha scarf for her birthday and am really tempted to keep it for me!!
