Well, its nearly here!!
Well, its the weekend of may party, and I have to admit that I am writing this in an attempt to pass time until people start arriving as I am now very excited, and can't wait till tomorrow for the party, although apparently I can't open any cards or pressies until Monday!!
People are traveling from all over as we speak, well, Liverpool, Brum and tomorrow Leeds, but its really nice to know that my friends want to make the effort.
Speaking of effort, can I just say in advance, a big thankyou to everyone who is pandering to my whim and coming in 80's fancy dress, which I have to say, appears to be the majority!! (although I do suspect that peoples willingness has only a little bit to do with me and that they are all just thrilled to have the legitimate opportunity to dress like twats! So far we have, Prince, Billy Idol, The Ghostbusters, She Ra, Adam Ant, Boy George, a possible Freddie Mercury and a whole gaggle of 80's fashion kings and queens, so should be a laugh.
Decs are also purchased, Mr. Fesk insisted on purchasing a helium balloon kit for decorating the party room (which he is in charge of, with the help of Miss C) which I kind of know is more for him than me, and I am wondering how much of the helium will make it in to the balloons???
We are thinking of catching the bus into town tomorrow, which if you were on your own would be scary, but seeing as there will be a few of us should just be a good start to what promises to be an excellent evening.
As you can probably tell, the party is somewhat overshadowing the gruesome fact that I will be 30 on Monday, something which I am sure you will have gathered I have been dreading, but there is still 2 more nights of drinking before this event happens, and I am trying to push it to the back of my mind. Weird though, I will be 30, a grown up woman,and yet I still feel like I am 16 half of the time, and my mum still tells me off for saying bloody.
