My old bones

Went round to my mum and dads new house on Friday, they move today but we got permission to go in and clean it as it has been empty 3 years.
Anyway, long story short, I was designated to clean kitchen;whilst cleaning the window clambered on to the work top (oblivious to the fact it was just one square piece joined onto the sink, and obviously did not have any appliances under it to help give strength to the 3 screws holding it up!!!!). Needless to stay after about 15 mins of my slight (not) frame clambering about on it, the whole thing gave way, and landed on the floor with me not long after it!! Banged my head a cracker on the way down, had a nice bump to show for it - but apart from a scratch on my leg nothing else. My mum and dad came running at my girlie scream and my dad proceeded to ask me if anything was wrong with me, to which I replied - 'yes, I'm too fat to climb on the worktop'!!! Which as well as being true was quite funny I thought!!
Anyway, unfortunately that was not the end of the matter, as the next two days have revealed other more painful injuries such as a large bruise on my rib cage and a very painful back, so am now off sick!! Actually am walking around like the old woman I will be in two weeks time!! Planning to go over to mum and dads today to say bye to house, obviously will not be able to help with move so just plan to hang around and get in the way.
My main duty of the day is to give shelter to our decrepit dog, who will def just get in the way of the move. My charming brother dropped him off this morning and when I said I would be over in a bit, he said 'I thought you were looking after the dog', and I said 'did he expect me just to sit and watch him all day', and he said that 'he presumed so as he had dropped him off at the decrepit old dogs home'!!!!! Cheeky bleeder, obviously referring to my impending 30 years!!! Party outfits are coming along nicely, and hopefully enough people seem to be making the effort to ensure that I will not look like a billy.
Thought for the day: I wonder if my kind thoughtful man (who has been lovely to me while I have bitched and moaned at my bad back all weekend) will be bothered that my dog, despite having his bed brought with him, appears to have set up camp in the spare room on his rucksack???
