Conflicting views about the world

Have spent the last couple of weeks meeting some absolutely lovely people, I cannot believe how nice, friendly and amazingly helpful all the people I have met on my placement have been. Even when I have gone to have a nosy around other agencies have been lovely.
However on the other hand, some of the things I am being involved with and the conversation I am privy to at work really open your eyes to what scum we sharing the planet with, so bitter sweet at the moment.
On a more humorous note, a piece of advice I have been given for when I start doing more home visits is to make sure that I have some nit repellent in the glove box of my car and that i always make sure that we have some nit lotion at home!!! - Nice. In fact I was told by someone that they have been to a house before when one of the young girls they see pulled two nits from her hair and raced them on the kitchen counter!!!!
