Whilst on a home visit today, i saw the most amazing mullet i have ever had the misfortune to clap eyes on - full skinny pony tail down the back and everythin - and on a 30 year old woman - ave it!!!
Just got back from our weekend in the Smoke. Had a lovely time, Rachael lives in a really nice bit of London. Had a picnic in the park on Sat, got way too drunk in a homies pub on the night, ad then managed to drag ourselves up this morning to watch our friend Steve run past us - twice - in the London marathon. Which, even though it was raining, was really good fun. Ate a foot long shlong, to keep me going, and was slightly distressed by the amount of bleeding joggers nipple running past me. Will sleep well tonight, tired me out it did watching all that exercise.
Moooove aloong the boos pleassse (in an Indian accent)
Re title: Guess you had to be there, but pissed myself laughing. If your ever passing through Coleshill, Brum I can HIGHLY recommend the Polash Indian resteraunte. Had a brill weekend, went to brum, and the usual cracking time, which included drinking , the pre requisite BBQ what ever the weather, also the visit to Wing Wah's (Jumbo's is shitter than shit next to this baby) and some 70% STARK (nasty booze from Prague). Quality. Hope you have all had a lovely Easter, my egg is gone already ;(
Have spent the last couple of weeks meeting some absolutely lovely people, I cannot believe how nice, friendly and amazingly helpful all the people I have met on my placement have been. Even when I have gone to have a nosy around other agencies have been lovely. However on the other hand, some of the things I am being involved with and the conversation I am privy to at work really open your eyes to what scum we sharing the planet with, so bitter sweet at the moment. On a more humorous note, a piece of advice I have been given for when I start doing more home visits is to make sure that I have some nit repellent in the glove box of my car and that i always make sure that we have some nit lotion at home!!! - Nice. In fact I was told by someone that they have been to a house before when one of the young girls they see pulled two nits from her hair and raced them on the kitchen counter!!!!
Busy weekend, Ocean sitting (went to the Mega bowl, where, lets face the good times are really not rolling, and for a pub meal, then dropped her off at her grandparents so that we could go out on the lash for Dave's birthday (bizarre flash of what life could be like!!!). Had a good night, although Toff's is not the night out it used to be. Done bog all today. Delayed trip to Brum going ahead next weekend, so at least we have something to look forward to, then apparently had my dates very mixed up for going to London to see Rach and watch the marathon, I thought it was the end of may, but apparently it s the weekend after next, so need to sort myself out for that.
Manic at the moment, between getting head round placement, working for money, traveling 2 1/2 hours a day and actually trying to fit in a life - things are a bit mad. Placement is very interesting, sat in on case conferences to take a child off, and then to out 4 children on the child protection register and then today went out on an emergency protection investigation with the police and another social worker - interesting stuff. Tomorrow going to a couple of core meetings. Feeling a bit out of my depth at the moment, but everyone is really lovely. Anyway, met the girls off my course for a big juicy Oscar's burger, so feeling OK at the mo.
