Am seriously sick of this now - could have been going out for a girlie piss up with friends form work, but can't afford to have the hangover in the morning. Have been working since 10 this morning, have had a couple of breaks, but apart from that have been working pretty solidly. Am about to wrap up for the night, and watch a film and get a takeaway. Have completed most of what I wanted to do today, no have a very comprehensive (I hope) essay plan, taking into account all the reading I have done, so should hopefully just be able to sit and write it tomorrow. Just realised this is a very boring blog entry, sorry. But it reflects the day I have had. Haven't been very nice today, sorry ;) Mmmm, chicken satay, and I think I will be naughty and have prawn toast!!

The eagle has landed...
Another essay encrusted weekend ahead of me :( Going to spend the next hour or so sorting things out, and making sure that I am ready to start with no distractions bright and early in the morning. Social Policy - yummy, just the thing to brighten your weekend.
Have potentially got my first placement, in Northallerton (could be worse) for social services, families and children (not really what I wags hoping for, but should be interesting) there is a possibility - yet to be confirmed, that is in child protection (not at all what I was hoping for!!!) anyway, will broach it with an open mind.
Getting to go out tonight, although not drinking (clear head for tomorrow) going to Fibbers to watch a band, will let you know if they were any good.

Another essay deadline approaches
Getting that familiar feeling of panic over my essay, which is teamed up with the 'cannot actually be arsed to get on with it' feeling, you know the one, when even ironing becomes a must do activity.
Biking to uni is going well, although it was very cold today!!! Good look to S & T -11 degrees in Prague, I'm sure you'll find a few bars to keep warm in :)
Babies galore at the mo, not long now till rum and coke and disco stu's arrival, already been checking out baby clothes, and have just found out that an old friend is 3 months pregnant, even though they were having a few probs.
Anyway, I feel that neighbours is a must watch at the moment, very Titanicesque, nearly the whole cast in a swimming pool last week, must have taken some doing.

That'll do nicely thanks
Well got my essay back. 65 - A cracker, never used to get that last time round, so for my first essay in 9 years I was well chuffed. Also, can't help but brag a little (sorry) but the majority of the marks were between 50 and 60, so that means I really did get a good mark.
unfortunately, due to another deadline looming there was no beer to celebrate, just more study - God I miss being a 'proper' student like the first time round. I'm the oldest and i would have needed very little encouragement to celebrate but everyone else was very good and decided that they should go home and study - rubbish.

Nervous
Just checked my uni e mail, and apparently my theory essay is ready for collection tomorrow :-{
Please God let me have scored at least 50. I will be really chuffed with that. If I have to score below 50, please don't let it be less than 48. I could be mature and say, well, if I fail then at least I will be able to try harder next time - however in reality will be gutted, I really don't think that it is a fail, and i hope to God it is not as I really put some effort in, therefore don't know how much harder i could try. Therefore, what i am saying is, if I fail this then I will really need to query how suited I am to the course. Fingers crossed everybody!!
P.S No blog tomorrow may not necessarily be a bad sign, may be in the pub commiserating or rejoicing.

blerggh
Blerggh, social policy essay, blerghh. Not much else to say really, good being Back at school though, and even biked yesterday :)
Get results back from last essay next week, fingers crossed. Also am hoping to hear about my shadowing placement and my actual placement shortly, a lot of people have heard about theirs, so mines either very special, or they are finding it hard to place me and it is going to be crap.

A little something for the night shift......
High points of Amsterdam...
Fesk being asked if he would like coca, ecstasy or a little something for the night shift - he must have looked knackered after our hard core xmas and new year drinking.
The huge hotel bed
The trams
The space shakes and 'special' cake
Indonesian food
The classy ladies dancing in underwear that didn't match
High points of new year.......
Having a load of really nice people to bring it in with
Our recycling bin being VERY heavy
Dragging ourselves into town on new years day for a curry and having it large in Toffs
The little Chinese man.....Watch this space for the photos
Overall - the xmas period.........
Caught up with most of the people we wanted to see - which meant a lot of drinking
Had a great time
A close friend has had a really bad time, but seems to be getting through it well.....
To the sticky bastard beak - one day you'll get yours.
Looking forward to many more nights in Toffs ;-)

And a happy new year
Went back to work today, but only for 2 days as am being taken to Amsterdam on Friday, nice....
Had a cracking new year, got drunk then went for a curry and Toffs on new years day. Toffs - if this is possible - was the freakiest I have ever seen it, my friends from the midlands thought that the £3.50 entrance fee was well worth it for the high quality???!!! entertainment - watch this space for photos of theChinesee dancer!!! Anyway, all in all a good couple of days if you discount the crazy frog and face licking.
Anyways, goodbye to a very good year, and lets hope that this next year is just as good for all concerned (and better for some ;-))
