Since the last post it has been a busy week. Bastards broke into my car and stole my radio - albeit very neatly. We also went to Blackpool. It was wet, windy and weird but we had a great time, buying tat and stuff, and staying in a bizarre but friendly bed and breakfast.
First day back at uni today, which was great seeing everyone and even went for a few cheeky drinks at The Charles, but for the first time in the course I am starting to feel the panic set in. Here is a word that I think will feature a lot in the coming months - Dissertation!!!! Had a seminar about this today and I really do NOT have a clue what to focus on - and I do mean that, not just in a oh, don't know what to do moany way. I think that the focus of the course has change so much for me over the past few months that my head is spinning. I can't even pin it down to client group, never mind subject!! So was very grumpy for most of the day, and am also starting to feel the pressure of how intense the course is a bit too. Before it was a bit funny, and it was the first year so novel, but now it is hard work, its the second year, and there has barely been any let up, with only a stretch of much harder things to come. I know it will be worth it in the end, and I am also aware that a bit of me is enjoying the challenge, and my brain feels stretched for the first time in years, but it is also starting to feel like a bit of a slog. Anyhoo, moan over. Mr. Fesk has just ordered pizza and they knew his name and ordered before he even said anything - too many pizza's - I think so!!!!
Just returned from an 18 mile bike ride with Mr. Fesk, and we did the Tesco shop on the way back!!!! Biked to Tadcaster and back - not the most scenic ride in the world but it got us out, we had Sunday lunch, picked some conkers and rode home, via Tesco with our ruck sacks, so we are feeling very self righteous at the moment :) Had a nice day on fri, saw my friend M, can't believe her little boy is 2 next week, and he is gorgeous!!! Went with Mrs. Rum and Kelsey, which was lovely, we have the picture of her first kiss:) Also went out on thurs, and drank wine - never a good move, but it does make me a cheap date. We were all a bit sad to learn that for the time being we have thrown the last snag on the barbie for our friend M, who is going home :( But I'm sure his mum and dad are pleased, and I know that he has been missing his ute :) Also, means we get to go to Oz sometime in the future, as long as we take strong large spider repellent with us. Ray Mears should be a lesson to us all - there will be no sneaky snakes under my bed!!!!
Am never sure whether it is a good thing or not when it is a long time between my posts. Usually means that I have been busy, but not necessarily in a good way!! I'm really sorry to all those people I am supposed to be ringing, I will do as soon as poss, honest :) Anyways, only have 10 mins to jot stuff down, as need to watch corrie at 8.30 as Fred the butcher Elliot takes his last breaths tonight. Gutted. I say a pint of your finest please, I say a pint of your finest, to send him on his way. Even Mr Fesk has seen me writing this and expressed his horror and disbelief - shocking, I say shocking!!! Had some cake tonight at WW, it was made of chick peas - weird. But cake is cake, take it were you can get it I say, and if the weird little Britinesque set up is doling it out - then mores the better :) Halloween soon!!! Am very excited, planning a crap horror film fest for friends, and have already bought my hat and stuff, and cob webs. Well, that's all for now. Will try and be a better blogger :)
Can't believe how quick time is passing, and barely seem to have time to go to the loo. Time mainly consumed by placement and work with brief interludes in between. Had a BBQ the other sat - prob the last one of the year :( and been out to friends a couple of times and stuff, so been a nice but busy time and feel like I have been squeezing a social life in, and therefore am knackered. Getting in to the out doors big time, went for a 'team building day' ramble the other day which was excellent fun, wasn't even knackered although my thighs did suffer!! And we are currently bidding on a new tent on eBay. I have stipulated that i must be able to stand up in it!! Have baked a quiche this afternoon and watched crap horror flicks - great!! So that is it really for the exciting life of fala, but am quite enjoying being a domestic goddess.
