The monkey has landed!!

Hurrah for northern monkeys that's all i can say - although I'm glad I'm not sharing a tent with this particular one :)
Holidays are here, placement starts in 10 days, but until then I am free.
Am now really excited about mon when we are meeting up with the midlanders and camping in the lakes for 4 nights and 5 days - please God could we have a little bit of nice weather. Should be a really good laugh though.
Went out with girls form uni on weds, got pissed at home on the cheap then carted our selves off to toffs, only to find it was closing as there were only 12 people in there - the down side of late night licensing - forcing us in to the seedy den that is Reflex.

Nothing to tell

I wish I had something exciting to report for my time off, but unfortunately I have just been working. So am really updating for updatings sake. Girls form uni coming round tonight for an early birthday celebration, then I'm sure next weeks camping extravaganza will leave me with some tales to tell. Also going out Saturday for a few beers, again for my birthday :)

Another week of the holidays gone

Don't know where the weeks gone, but time is flying swiftly towards my 32nd!!!! Birthday. Few nights out planned for this, going out with girls from uni on weds, then a night out on sat, then hopefully a BBQ the week after and will be away camping in the Lakes for my actual birthday which should be a good laugh.
Not done much today, but Mr. Fesk cooked us a fantastic roast beef dinner, yum yum.

Car boot crazies and revolting boyfriends

After sleeping approximately 2 1/2 hours last night (I never get insomnia!!) I got up at 6 am to do a car boor sale with Mrs Rum. Was quite good fun apart from the wind and rain, and the way people jumped on the car like vultures when we got there.
The best sale of the day was definaltley to the mad girl with the puppy west highland white, who purchased one of Kelsey's pink cardigan's - for the dog!!! This was only after informing us that she had read somewhere that terriers were bred to be able to wear clothes! and then asking the dog which outfit it liked best. mmmmm.
Was very tired this afternoon, so had to go to bed rather than the pub, which was a big shame, as was looking forward to it.
Instead, stayed in and watched Rabbit proof fence, which made me sad, and then Mr. Fesk really out did himself on the romance stakes by carrying on the Australian theme to the evening.... by farting down his didgeroo in to my face whilst i was lying on the sofa!!! Then pissing himself laughing for the rest of the evening. I am such a lucky girl!
Really can't be arsed to go to work tomorrow, am really torn between needing money, and wanting to enjoy the fact that I am on holiday.
By the way, the big news was that Mr. Fesk has handed in his notice, so we are both now technically unemployed, but the chance to travel is getting ever closer :)

A nice week off

Have had a lovely week off, even thought the weather has not been as good as the past few weeks, done quite a bit too.
* Went to Malton show - a small version of the great Yorkshire show, there was a fur and feathers pet competition, sheep dog trails, steam tractors, you know the kind of thing. Bit disappointing on the food front though.
* Went to Stratford-upon- Avon, stayed in a lovely 16th century hotel, wandered, fed the swans and went to see The Tempest at the Royal Shakespeare Company, with the bloke form star trek in it.
* Had a BBQ in the rain in Birmingham, archers jacuzzi etc. Great.
* Went for a very nice Thai meal at the Sweet Basil on the A59.
* Went to Hunmanby gap with Rum and Disco, Kelsey and Morgan, had a picnic and a lovely day, then argued over Monopoly.
* Celebrated what should have been one of my best mates wedding day with a picnic and Toffs, had a great time, and we all agreed it was a narrow escape ;)

Without rubbing it in, i am actually on hols till the 3rd sept, but I am going to do some shifts to earn some much needed dosh.
Also, big, potentially very good, life changing decisions being made this weekend - watch this space, and no, we are not having a baby!! (although Puppy discussions are more frequent :))
