Essay all done, proof read and printed!!! Hurrah. More than a day before its due in as well!!! Not only that but i am even handing my placement agreement in before schedule so that i can now officially enjoy my 5 weeks off!!! Well, that sounds better than it is, I will actually be working for 3 of them, but not full time if I can help it :) Another nice evening last night, and nice things planned for the week ahead. Also, good news, Ms Tiggywinkle came back, so all is well in the hedge pig nest.
Last day of placement today. Got taken out for lunch, which was nice in itself, but nearly everyone came, which is apparently very rare, and on top of that got told they would love to have me back when I qualify and then got fantastic pressies and cards. I am sad to go, and will really miss people, they have truly made me remember what it is like to enjoy work again. I can't believe how helpful and kind they have all been, and some of whom i will be keeping in touch with. Have also had some good laughs along the way. Was interesting how people let their guard down a bit and told me what they think about people today. Anyway, am looking forward to next placement, i think that the change and stimulation was what i was yearning for, and this course is certainly providing that. Feel sad, but good about it if that makes sense. We have baby hedge pigs in the garden. Next door neighbour took her shed down and there was a mummy and 5 babies. They are sooooooooooooo cute, watch out for pics. Unfortunately mum has gone today, but we are hoping that she will come back as she spent the night with them last night, and knows they are safe, they have a house and everything. I have named the mum - Ms Tiggywinkle (couldn't resist) although Ms rather that Mrs as their seems to be an absentee father, although at the moment mum seems to be a bit of a flight risk, so it is a good job I'm in the child protection business. Anyways, there are 5 babies to name, so please feel free to make suggestions and i will use the first 5 I get!!!
Had a nice evening at Rum and Disco's on Friday. They asked us if we would consider being Kelsea's legal guardians should anything happen to them. It was lovely of them to ask, and we said yes, so thanks very much guys. J and F are moving to suburbia tomorrow so we had a BBQ tonight as their house is in uproar. Looking forward to many BB's in their back garden over summer. Last week of placement tomorrow. I am going to be sad. I have met some lovely people there, and have learnt so much from them. I really hope that I can go back when I have qualified. They have even put up posters for a lunch for me on thurs, even though I've only been there a few months, and really I am just a glorified gool!!! If there is a schedule one offender to be seen I'm in there!!! Also have my meeting for my next placement at the uni in the morning. So hopefully that will go OK. Essay due in a week tomorrow and then some time off, hurrah. Mr. Fesk has erected me a new fence this weekend, for which I am very grateful, as I no longer have to look at Sad Sack and Maud's massive underwear!!! They really are unpleasant as is the underwear. Weight watchers tomorrow. I have ridgidly stuck to the points this week, so please let me have lost something, and I don't just mean my dignity :)
Norris, one of our lovely guineapigs is currently on anti biotics for a snotty nose. He as on them before but had to go back to the vets as they were not working. He is now on a mega dose, as he is officially a fat pig!! The vet decided to weigh him as the drugs should be working, and when he did it became apparent why they weren't. He'd given us the dose for your average pig, approx 800 - 900 g. Transpires, Norris needed a much larger dose as he weighs 1400g!!!! So the other stuff was not touching the sides. As far as I can see this just goes to show a diet of greens is not good for you!!! No more lettuce for me!! Just in case you are about to get animal cruelty on me, he is not actually that over weight, apparently he is in good health and is just a monster pig!!!! Bathed both him and Percy yesterday - very cute. Hurrah, just had to break to take delivery of fence panels, finally we won't have to look at the twat next door's underwear!!! Hurrah. God, they are weird people. Hurrah for the weather too, hope the rain is only temporary.
Am trying hard to enjoy the weather, although when trapped in my car for an hour at a time and feeling like I'm a meal being cooked this gets harder. Driving from my placement on Monday through Thirsk, and one of the farmers fields was on fire, and had been all the way to the side of the road. Anyways, have two study days now, and how unfortunate that they fall on the hottest days of the year!!! The only draw back being that I am behind with my essay and actually have to study! Finally have some money, travel allowance and some shifts I worked have both come through, so that means I can pay my £40 library fine (don't ask) and my car tax, and wey hey, be skint again!!! Going to be really sad to leave my placement, but I am ready for a break. They have organised a meal out for me, which is nice. Would really like to go back there if / when I qualify.
Have spent the majority of this beautiful sunny day inside on the comp doing uni assignments. 2 weeks left of placement, am knackered and the pressure is on. Still haven't stated assignment to be in 2 weeks tomorrow, and also have no money. Remembering the crap bits of being a student at the moment, and without the benefit of a really long summer hol either!! Oh well, could be worse. Congratulations to Julez and Spencer, who tied the knot on Friday - was a fantastic day, couldn't have been better. that's it really. Will try to be more positive next time i post. C xxx
Got a letter from the uni yesterday, have officially passed the first year of my course!! Woo hoo. Have also lost just over half a stone on Weight Watchers!! (Please stop me if i become a points obsessed freak!!!) Mr. Fesk's parents arival is imminient, so hopefully we will be having a nice couple of days. Quite stressful week on placement, removing kids form home for he first time - not nice, especially when they are crying.
Last day of term ended up turning into a bit of a sesh, down The Charles and then judges till 3 am. Was on the bike. How I'm home in one piece I do not know. Had a fantastic night - the unplanned ones often are. However I am getting sick of losing the weekend to the tiredness that follows. Fesk and I also got told of by the police for riding the wrong way down Coney street at 3 am. Swines. Anyways, been at work all weekend, and now it is nearly time to start the week all over again, wouldn't it be lovely if the weekends were longer.
