A life of Fala

God I'm lazy

I spent the majority of yesterday in bed, and didn't get dressed until 7pm, just in time to go out on the lash. We even had our first drinks whilst still in our PJ's.
We then went on to have a really good night, like a date really, just the two of us, worked our way down Micklegate, going in all the cheap bars, then ultimatley ended up in Toffs. We must have been drunk, as we queued to get in!! I can't actually remember the last time I had to queue to get in there. God knows what was going on. Anyway, had a good time in there, although it seems to get rougher each week. Going to the upstairs toilets is like taking your life in your own hands, it was seriously starting to kick off in there last night, was glad to get in a cubicle and lock the door. Left about 1 ish and decided to go for a curry, (we actually found a decent one that is still open after midnight ((i refuse to eat in the Mongol, it is minging)).
On the way to the curry i realised that actually York is not that nice in ana evening, there were women laying on the floor with their noses bleeding, and there mates leering over them, and a man ran past us down the alley by toffs being hotly pursued by the rozzers - nice, and very classy, I'm sure that the women will look a beauty today, as she didn't look like she looked that good to start off with!!!

Snow and mice, yipee

Serious snowing today, I have been waiting ages for this!! It took me an hour and 20 mins to get to work this morning, but I didn't care as it was snowing and I had my heater on and my radio. Wish I had a dog so i could go play in it tonight, or even some grass where there wouldn't be the danger of rolling in doggy poo.
Went to see Madame Butterfly last night at the grand opera house with Nicky, as I had bought her the tickets for her birthday. It was really good, think I would definitely go see another opera, however the one weird thing was that they had a board which was translating all the songs into English, and I feel that the words obviously lose a little something in translation, as some were not at all romantic, and at times just odd.

blerrrggghhhh

Had an excellent night last night, that accounts for me having lost most of today. Got more drunk than I used to, must be getting old, and danced my socks off. In the end we had the best of both worlds, a girlie night out then met up with the blokes and their mates in time to be taken home. Drank a lot!! Also lots of shots. Even Mr. Fesk was broken (he fell off the sofa arm when we got home trying to undo his shoe laces) and is currently asleep on the sofa.
About to drag myself to tesco (we haven't even got any bread) and just wondering if i can get away with going out without doing anything to my hair (it is sticking up on top so that I look a little like the statue of liberty.

Girlie night out

Looking forward to tonight, having a piss up with me bessie mate. We haven't been out just the two of us for ages so am really looking forward to it. Will be just like old times except we are wiser and mature (well we aren't desperate for men now anyway!).
Who knows, may even venture to Toffs, i'm sure it had missed us.

Slightly disturbing

Have just played back my day in my head, and am slightly disturbed by the contents:
Got up and did some general housework and washing, made my man dinner to put in the fridge as i knew he would be home late and I had plenty of time, then went to work. On way home from work I went to Tesco to buy a couple of things including fruit for my man to take with him to work tomorrow, as we were running low. When I got home, I picked my mans dirty plate of the floor (from where he had been eating the above meal) put it in the dishwasher, set the dish washer going (while he continued to watch his car program) then tookt the washing out of the machine (that i had set going prior to going to work), and folded the washing I had put to dry this morning.
Written down this looks even more alarming, and also does not paint my lovely gin drinker in a good light! However, how it looks and sounds is not really how it is, and anyway, lets face it, for a Gucci watch, I'll happily do his cleaning and cooking all week ;-)

I do not!!!

I do not have OCD!!! (you bugger), contrary to popular belief, I just like things tidy, and have developed a thing about recycling.
Got a VERY nice valentines gift yesterday. Far too nice for me to wear really, hope i don't scratch it.
Had a very tasty meal at the Tung hing yesterday, although most of the actual meal was spent in awe of the classy couples that came in (can you feel the sarcasm seeping out of this sentence). What better way to say I love you than with a cheap bottle of Rose and some prawn crackers.

A lovely surprise

My lovely boyfriend has arranged for us to have SKY plus fitted as a surprise, and SKY multi room. Think that from now on I may have square eyes!! It is being fitted between 11 and 2 today. Cool. Now I won't miss all the stuff on second chance Sunday tomorrow whilst we are at the pub celebrating me getting a place at York uni.
Don't know what to do tonight, there are a couple of options, one involves Reflex, the other being sedate and going to the flicks. If we go to the flicks then there will be more beer money for tomorrow, but then Reflex..........
Its supposed to snow today, I hope it does, I cleaned the house and went shopping in preparation for being able to hole up in our nice cosy house for the whole day.
Discovered a new addiction last night, Midtown Madness 3. Bet Mr. fesk never wishes he never encouraged me to play when i didn't want to now. That, Bacardi Limon and full fat coke, and a donner meat and cheese garlic bread - what more could a girl want.

Heard on Galaxy FM whilst giving the news healdlines:
'Camilla Parker Bowles will tonight display her ring for the first time to the public'.......

What can I say, what have you done to me!!

Also keep having near misses with buses in my car, whats that about, its scary and i hope its not a warning.

How tickled I am

Yipitty, yeeha!!!!
I have a place on my course, i will be starting my MA in social work in september, and will then be a smelly student fo the next 2 years. The plan is coming together. Don't think I have been this excited about anythin to do with my career for the last couple of years - it is true, everything does happen for a reason.

Domesticity

Had a really nice night last night, went round to Vikki and Stu's to watch rugby and ended up staying for take away, drink and cards.
This morning I think that Mr. Fesk felt a bit scared as we went kitchen shopping - we are getting a new kitchen, Hurray!!!! I have only been waiting nearly 5 years (oh my god, i have had a mortgage for nearly 5 years).
its my dads birthday today so we are going out for a family meal tonight, A carvery - Yummy.
Am a bit distressed that my letter didn't come in the post yesterday,a s if it comes any day this week i am going to be at work so will have to wait till i get home, and if it comes tomorrow I am at work from 9 in the morning till 10.15 at night, that is a long day to wait!!!

Waiting

Fingers crossed

Have my interview tomorrow at York uni. I think it has been a long time since i have been this enthusiastic about wanting something, and been this pro active. Would be lying if I said i wouldn't be gutted if i don't get a place. However, will still stand by the theory that everything happens for a reason, so if it doesn't pan out I'm sure something much better will be waiting around the corner .......But god i hope this pans out.

Axe wound

Been a bit of a mad weekend really. Good times Friday - as you Know, then went out for a nice meal with stu and viki on sat, to fiesta mexicana, always a good choice, then worked Sunday, went shopping after (got a bargain of a designer bag, black and furry with a diamante flower on), then home where I fell asleep.
Realised today that i let something really cool go by without a mention - Nicky and Chris moved in together - officially!!!! Can't believe I never mentioned it, although the actual moving in date was a bit blurred :-) I am really pleased for them, they are really happy together, and that is something Nicky and i thought we would never find, and we have!! Perfect men, (well noones actually perfect) who are actually friends, our ideal, what we said we always wanted when scouring Toffs for the more appealing ones (we only ever joked about it, but never thought that we would actually get it), and here we are living with them.
Busy day, Mr. Fesk cooking tea for me as we speak. Burritos, mmmmmmm.
