Ahhhhhhh

Ahhhhh, Toffs!
Made it within the month!!! I like to ensure that I have at least one visit a month to the place that has always been a constant in my life - a safe (?) drinking haven, a place to feel at home.
Before that, did have a lovely meal at Buzz, would definatley recommend it. Good food, good company, then got pissed and went to Toffs. Shame B didn't come - get back on that horse girl!!
Going out for a meal with miss rum and stu tonight - think that we have decided on mexican, so should be good. Hope we don't have to sit downstairs though, where it is always full of hen parties, which is alright if you are part of them, but a little noisy and annoying if you are just out for a meal with friends.
Oh yeah, and
there were free healthy kit kats last night.

F**cking Haxby

I am really pissed off with that place. I left as manager over a year ago to free myself from all the petty shit, and here I am again being dragged back into the crap, even thought it is only on the periphery I am still mad as hell, and as for the people causing it - GET A LIFE!!!! Better still, realise it is time to get another job.
On a high note, booked my ticket to Dublin for Bridies Hen weekend, Yippee!!!!!

Snow and traumatic weekends

When i woke up this morning it was snowing, although it is now Raining, but the sky looks promising for more snow!! Yippee.
Some of my bestest friends have not had the best weekend of their lives this weekend, for reasons I will not go in to. Needless to say, I am hoping things turn out Ok as i love them all dearly.
I myself have had a very lazy, and scarily domestic weekend. Mr. Fesk has fiddled with his car, while i watched omnibuses of Emmerdale and Holly Oaks, and I have tidied and done the mammoth pile of ironing that we never seem to get to the bottom of - oh yeah, and we have eaten lots of take away food.
My night on Friday was good, although slightly weird as we revisited some of our old haunts, and i don't know whether it was because I was sober (i drove) or because we are growing up, but some of the pubs we used to go in now look very dodgy, and I can't believe we used to go there, never mind pull people in them. Music was still good though, and drinks very cheap - so this is probably what drew us to them in the first place though. Makaela and Marie also spent the night regaling me with horror stories of giving birth and being pregnant. Have no intention of becoming so, but is i had been, I would not be now..... Did you know that it is quite common for contractions to make you violently sick, so not only are you in the worst pain of your life, you are heaving at the same time, nice. Thanks for that ladies.
Not at work till 4.30, so supposed to be cleaning the house, but really can't be arsed, think I will go watch the end of Tricia.

I got you babe

Heard this Sony and Cher song on the radio this morning, and it took me right back to last week. In fact I've been doing the whole 'this time last week' thing in my head all week, and it is gutting to be home, having to work and in the cold.
I have many vivid memories of last week, but the ones that seem to cling to the front of my lobes are:
stealing the shopping trolley from Carre Fourre so that we didn't have to carry everything home and the police being at the end of our road when we got home.
The noise that Chris's head made when banged by the wooden plate our alcohol bill came on.
The scary children who tried to 'pick us up' on the beach.
Stu being running to be sick (during the day) at the cafe near the beach.
The number of times the toilet in the Irish bar was defiled the lads.
Karaoke.
Sangria.
The Chinese restaurant on the first night.
Jamies naked body, running down the street.
Being sick because of well dodgy pizza (although it tasted lush at the time).
The weird English bloke, and the neumatic drill at the bar in Alicante in El Barrio.
Me, Toni and Lyns having proper hot chocolate in Torrevieja town, away from the uncouth boys, whilst they prepared the BBQ.
The amazing way that absolutley anything that was said could be made into an innuendo!!!!
Away from the holiday, today, with work, I went to the Friday club, where there was old people, tea and buns and a raffle, where the prizes included chopped ham, a tin of tuna, some tea bags and a tin of curry. It truly was like something off Peter Kay, but was quite enjoyable.
Going out with my friend Makaela tonight, which will be weird, she used to be my pulling partner, and the last time we went out, we were both single, since then I have met Nick, and she has moved to Africa, got married and had a baby, so it will be interesting to see if our nights out will have changed - I suspect they might: At the very least they will no longer involve dodgy blokes!!!!

Yesterday

Went to my Great aunty Marg's funeral yesterday. Haven't seen her for years which I am truly sorry about, as she was a lovely lady. It was sad, as it made me realise that there will soon be hardly any of our older relatives left who remember my Grandma and Grandad, and what they where like before we all came along. Also made me realise that there are some of my family i only see at funerals and it is a scary thought to think who might be the reason for us meeting next time, so I really think we should make more of an effort to see them.
Am really sick of work, not my actual job, as I have always liked that, but having to get up in the morning and be somewhere for a set time. Anyway, have a date through for my interview to go back to Uni, so fingers crossed. I will be gutted if I don't get a place, but I am realistic that there aren't many places available, and if i muck it up it will be my own doing - at least i got an interview in the first place.

The Hol and some other stuff

Well, what can i say...... The hol was fantastic - a big thankyou to Pauline for letting us use her villa for free, it was great. Weather was reasonable, i think it would be fair to say we all came home with a bit of a tan.
The week started out as it was meant to - in the airport bar, where I started as I went on by knocking vodka over peoples hand luggage, then someone took Chris's passport for a joke, whihc was funny for all but him, and then we had to leg it for the plane. I'm sure all the other passengers loved us, as we were all at the back of the plane apart from my precious, who got sat half way up the plane next to a nice old couple who had taken their own sandwiches.
Straight to the drink when we landed, found an Irish bar,and spent most of the week in there - the shots were outrageous, and i am pleased to report that the ladies matched the men drink for drink, and a lot of the time we were on spirits and they were on beer, and they all had hang overs at some point of the week and we did not - so there!!! We also beat your asses at black jack!!!
Mr. Fesk discovered Nordic Mist - I'll let him tell you, and I drank Sangria whenever possible.
Culture wasn't high on the agenda, Irish bar every night but one, fry ups at the English cafe every morning, and BBQ's, Chinese and Indian (con hair) were eaten. We did make it to the beach once, where it was quite pleasant, and the ladies ventured into Torrevieja on the last day where we had proper Spanish hot choc - lush, but no churros :-(
There was a lot of laddish toilet talk, the toilets in the Irish bar were practically a war zone, to coin a phrase 'they were rotten!!'. Also I think we were living in innuendo city for the week: We were delayed due to the Spanish slot problem!!!
In fact only one bad thing to say about the hol - really needed better taste in videos, Frank Butcher in Puss in Boots...... need I say any more!!!
All in all fantastic week, didn't think that I had it in me anymore to drink that much, but apparently i do.
Speed seminar exactly as I expected it would be, guilt trip city, and some very angry men who could not accept that tey had been caught fair and square. Nice key ring too.

Hola!

Toni, Lynds, Jamie, Simon, Nick, Chris, Martyn, Stu, and Joe - Can I just say thanks for a crackin hol. Suspect we are all going to be recovering for the next few days, but was well worth the pain!! Think we are also really going to miss dossing round all day reading, playing cards and drinking when we want, although I will not miss Jim Davison!!!!
Anyway, have to go to my speed seminar thingy today, so i promise the photos and videos will be out by tommorrow at the latest, and will try an update again later.

Happy New Year

Have set the new year off to a flying start, am still in my pyjamas - didn't even get up till 4pm, and that was just so we could watch SKY instead of normal TV.
Had a good night last night, Oscars first, then to the Minster with our mini bottles of champers then instead of going back to oscars like normal people, we were once again tempted in by the charms of Toffs. We paid £12 for the pleasure!!! £12 to get in Toffs, what were they thinking???? As usual there were very scary women in the toilets.
Left about 2.30 am with absolutely no chance of getting a taxi, so set off walking, but managed to flag a station taxi down who actually stopped for us - so I will take that as being the start of good things to come for this year.
Oh yeah, one of our friends new girlfriend punched a bouncer and spent her new years eve in Fulford police station - nice.
