I am 33 today!! God that sounds old. However I can finally say that my fiance has given me a pearl necklace :) Start my new job as a disabled childrens social worker on monday. Can't wait. Wedding booked for 27th June next year. Life is very good at the mo :))))
Lots has been happening since I last updated. I passed my social work degree :) Graduation ceremony is next friday, soo I have to do the whole gown thing, I thought it also needed to be marked by purchasing a lovely pair of shoes!! I have the whole month off this month - paid. I am still working as a family worker at my old placement, part time, but I am banking the hours to work for them full time in the school hols in AUgust. Who would have thought, not only am I going to be working wiht children, I am going to be helping to run the summer holiday groups and enjoying it. I have applied for the social workers job which is coming up at my placement, so fingers crossed, the interview is at the end of the month. Still getting the hearing dogs - getting a new one today called Griffen. Going to look at a potential wedding venue tommorrow morning, and if we like it we are just going to book, so watch out for your save the date cards!!! There is a lot more to this wedding malarky than I thought. Hope we do like the venue, it sounds perfect for us, it is at the York Maize, and we can hire, all the barns, the attached marquees the kids adventure play ground and the large infaltabe dome!! Brill, perfect setting for a hog roast. Can't wait, now all the other stuff is out of the way, I am starting to get really excited.
Well, dissertation is over and I get my results on the 22nd June, so life is full of possibilities and potential change at the moment, wiht jobs, houses, possible re location and travelling plans etc, and then Mr Fesk proposed to me!!! Hurrah, I'm getting married!!! No idea when or where at the mo, we are in no rush, and to be honest, I had only ever thought as far as being asked, the fact that there is going to be a real wedding at some point is just beyond my comprehansion at the moment. Anyway, it was amazing and romatic and my engagement ring is beautiful :)
I can't believe that it was so hot on sunday that not only did we have the first BBQ of the year, but it was almost too hot to sit in! It is 4 weeks tommorow till the hand in of my dissertation - :( Lot of work needed between now and then. Have a meeting with my tutor this afternoon so hopefully that will shed some light on the whole proceedings. Had another dog at the weekend - Basil, a mongrel who had been resuced from the streets of Irelans, and who looked a bit like a fox. He was a lovely dog, except he was scared of other dogs so sapped at Morgan a couple of times, not good. Not really much else to say, the D is a bit all consuming. Been out a couple of times, but have no money until my bursary comes through so can't even do that at the moment. Am making a point of watching the mis day episode of neighbours though - because I can!!! :) Right, will be back soon.
Life seems to have taken over the last couple of months, leaving me with no inclination to write about it. Course has gone mad, and am knackered, but in a good way. Feels good, using my brain. Last day of my placament today, it has ben a long, but enjoyable slog. Am ready for a break though. Which I can let myself have one week today. At the moment, I have been tyeing up cases, researching my dissertation, reading for my practice essay and doing my final report, I'm glad to report that they are getting ticked off one by one, and that all being well, this time next week, all that will be left will be top write the dissertation, and I have six weeks in which to do it. I have a job, just temporary back at my placment as a family supoort worker, 2 days a week, which will just give me some dosh whilst I do the dissertation. Also there may be a sw post going there soon too. Lots of stuff going on at the mo. This afternoon we are picking up our first hearding dog for the deaf to socialise for the weekend. We are getting a Spandoo called Holly. Google for Spandoo's - they are amazing. They are one of a breed called Doodle Dogs, there are Yorkiepoo's, Cockerpoo's and Labradoodles - Brilliant!! We shall be socialising her round at V & S's tonight with a few games of poker. It is Kelsey's first birthday on thursday - where has the year gone, and her dad's of course. They get to share a cake!!! It is also her mum and dad'ds 3rd anniversary on tuesday - again, where has the time gone. Another baby coming on the scene, one of my friends has had the good news, due in september. Exciting times at the mo in our house, who knows whats around th corner, 3 months in Tibet or a new mansion, time will tell.

Have been rubbish at this - sorry. Lots and lots going on over the past couple of months. I am a bit stretched at the mo what wiht placement and a lit review looming, so I promise that after the 19th Jan normal service will resume. It will be normal service with lots of whinging - the pressure is starting to mount with my course, but you wouldn't all recognise me wihtout a bit of moaning :)
I know that at the moment I am spending a lot of time whinging about the cold, but actually i love this time of year, i love getting wrapped up snug, and i love coming home in the dark and getting into our cosy house, eating winter food and watching telly, its great. Also, I love Halloween - had a great get together last night, pizza, horror flicks and even naff party games (bobbing for apples etc), and i love bonfire night even more, we're all off to the village bonfire where my mum and dad live, and there will be things like pie and peas supper!!! Love it!!! I decide a long time ago that if I was ever going to get married it would be great to have the wedding on bonfire night. Also got a bon voyage trip planned for our mate the aussie, who against our wishes is sodding off back home on tues :( But we're taking him to sample the delights of Scarborough first. dissertation is now not as much of a stress, at least I have an area of interest, so apart form constantly having too much to do, things are good at the mo. Also it was 3 years last night since I first met Mr. Fesk :) It will be the anniversary of our first snog next week.
